Ocoee event to help the homeless one bag at a time

When it comes to helping others in the community, even kids can play a part, and an Ocoee event will give them a chance to do so while they enjoy an evening of fun.

The participants in the Miles to Go kids yoga benefit will be led through a session that has been designed just for them. They will also make a craft to take home and participate in a chocolate meditation experience.

The parents of the youngsters who take part will also be able to enjoy the evening, as they can drop of their son or daughter at the Firefly Yoga Company, which will be the venue for the occasion, and then go across the street to have a “kid-free” date night. There will also be a prize raffle, and the draw for this will take place during pick-up.

The monies that are raised through this activity will be used by Miles to Go to produce bags to be distributed to homeless people in the community. The public can keep these in the car and distribute them to anyone they feel is in need of a helping hand. These care packages are being sold during the evening for $30 each. T-shirts that incorporate the logo design of the organization will be available for purchase as well.

This special event that will give the whole family a chance to have fun while helping others will be held on June 8. More information about the venue for the function can be found on its website.
