Alzheimer’s learning opportunity to be offered near Ocoee

A workshop that will explore legal and financial planning for those who are living with Alzheimer’s, or who care for someone who is, will be on offer in the Ocoee area, and anyone who feels it would be helpful to them in invited to attend.

The event, which is being offered free of charge, has been planned by the Central and North Florida Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. A variety of topics will be discussed, and a light meal will be provided. Local stationery printers will be able to supply handouts and other informative material for this type of occasion.

During the function, tips will be given about estate planning, how to minimize probate risk, and also how to avoid the different financial and legal pitfalls that can be encountered when making plans for the future. Living wills and end of life planning will also be included in the day, and there will also be a review of different government benefit programs that may be applicable given a person’s individual needs and situation.

This evening of learning and networking will be taking place on March 12 at the Orlando Health Heart Institute. It will begin at 5:30 pm sharp, and will wind up at 7:00 pm. Anyone who would like to register to participate or who needs to obtain more information can do so by contacting 800-272-3900.
