Northvale ShopRite has on-site dietitian

March 25, 2018 by

ShopRite customers who visit the Northvale store will find a new staff member on hand to help them make wise decisions about food and nutrition.

Jamie Pepper is now the Registered Dietitian at the Inserra Supermarkets ShopRite of Northvale.

Lindsey Inserra, who is the marketing officer for 22 Inserra ShopRites, including the one in Northvale, says that Jamie’s presence is part of the company’s ‘Fuel Better’ campaign. She will be available to provide shoppers with suggestions and counseling about products, and ideas to help them remain energised. Pepper’s services are free to shoppers at the store.

Among the issues she will tackle are one-on-one counseling about nutrition, recipes using healthy alternative ingredients, how to reorganize a pantry, and how to shop properly and understand food labels more easily. She will also accompany shoppers who request her help as they go through the store.

Not only that, but Pepper works with local schools, hospitals, and nonprofits to hold free health and wellness seminars and workshops. Pepper has a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from West Chester University of Pennsylvania, located in West Chester, Pennsylvania. She also holds a Master of Science degree in Health Sciences conferred on her by Georgia State University in Atlanta.

Shoppers might like to know a development like this, so management could consider working with a flyer printing company to create a mailer for the community.
