Crafts festival ready to raise funds for local charities

The Holiday Craft Festival, presented by the Ocean State Artisans, is taking place in Warwick next weekend. A portion of proceeds from sales will go to various local charities.

There are expected to be more than 100 artists and crafters participating in this juried show, who will be selling a variety of handmade items such as ceramics, pottery, sculpture, paintings, clothing, and jewelry. Sizes or booth will vary from vendor to vendor, with those who have made appearances at previous years’ festivals given first choice on their boot size this time round.

Visitors can also buy a shopping bag to carry their arts and crafts in, and proceeds from its sale will go to Meeting Street. Those who have not yet begun their Christmas shopping, or who just need to pick up a few more gifts, are sure to find something for sale at the show that will be take the fancy of a friend or loved one.

Vendors taking part in the show are bound to want to make sure they are noticed, and some may do that by investing in banner printing services from print companies in and around Warwick. A colorful banner hung over a booth stands to attract more attention.

The Holiday Craft Festival is being held at the Community College of Rhode Island’s Knight Campus from November 29 – 30. Admission is $1 along with the donation of a non-perishable food item. Contact Mary Larson at 401-848-5068 for more information.
