A pair of popular annual events is coming up in Rhode Island: The Newport Antiques Show and the East Greenwich Art Festival both attract thousands of visitors to the area each year.

The 6th annual Newport Antiques Show will take place over three days this July. It will feature over 40 dealers selling antique items such as paintings, furniture, folk art, and jewelry. A gala preview party will give visitors the chance to get an early look at what is available. A portion of the proceeds from the show will support the Newport Historical Society and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Newport County.

After that, the East Greenwich Art Festival is taking place for two days at the end of August. It will feature the works of over 100 artisans for sale. There will also be food concessions, street entertainers, music, magic, children’s crafts, and a community art project.

Both of these events will be widely promoted in Rhode Island, including the capital city of Providence. Local print companies have likely provided products such as flyers to help spread the word.

The Newport Antiques Show is occurring from July 26-28 at the Stephen P. Cabot and Archer Harman Ice Center. Admission is $15 per day or $20 for a three-day pass. The preview party will take place on July 25 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Tickets prices range from $100 to $500.

The East Greenwich Art Festival will take place at New England Tech from August 31-September 1 from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm each day. Admission is free.
