Perfect public speaking encouraged in Providence workshop

November 12, 2012 by

Although many of us would rather deal with people one-to-one or in very small groups, public speaking is necessary from time to time, especially for those who own a business. An upcoming workshop will highlight how important it is that businesspeople learn ways in which to make those public presentations successful and ensure that those they are speaking to pay attention to their message.

Sue Ogle has made a career of helping business professionals learn how to give successful speeches and presentations. Her ‘10 Tips for a Winning Presentation’ workshop teaches people about using proper body language and in learning how to give presentations that will have an impact on listeners. The workshop also includes group discussions and allows participants to practice what they have learned right away.

Ogle will be presenting her workshop in Providence at the end of this month. In addition to the helpful tips on offer, this is also likely to be an excellent networking opportunity and those attending will no doubt be arranging for professional, up-to-date business card printing in advance. The event is presented by the Junior League of Rhode Island – a group which is dedicated to promoting volunteerism, raising funds for worthwhile charities and in leadership training, mainly for women.

The ‘10 Tips for a Winning Presentation’ workshop will be held at PPS School House on November 28 beginning at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $30 and attendance cannot exceed 30. For more information, call 401-331-9302.
