Celebrate art at an outdoor festival

August 2, 2012 by

The East Greenwich Art Festival will take place at New England Tech on September 1 and 2 from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM each day. Admission is free.

There are expected to be over 135 contemporary artists showing and selling their works at the festival. Each vendor can rent a 10 x 10 space and they will be selling such items as art, jewelry, ceramics, clothing, accessories, house wares, decorative vases and photographs. In addition, there will also be lots of different foods and musical entertainment from bands such as the Toe Jam Band; Big Nazo will also make an appearance at the festival. There will also be a Creation Station for kids and a community art project in which everyone can participate.

This event is expected to draw people from all over the community including nearby Providence. More than likely the organizers are working with local printing companies to prepare for this yearly event. They will be looking into banner printing and poster printing services no doubt. Artists will also want to draw attention to their booths by using banners and signs from those same printing companies.

The East Greenwich Art Festival is a great way to spend a weekend and to discover exciting new artists living in the area. There is bound to be something for every member of the family to enjoy. The community art project will be the perfect way to celebrate art and to contribute to the beautification of the area.
