Learn about government changes that will affect your business

The Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce is presenting an Eggs & Issues Breakfast on January 19 at the Kirkbrae Country Club in Lincoln. The breakfast will take place from 8-9:15 am and costs $20 for Chamber members in advance or $30 at the door and $40 for non-members. A breakfast buffet is included in the price.

The guest speaker at the breakfast will be Congressman David Cicilline of the 1st District. The Congressman will be discussing changes to laws, government services and government policy that will affect small businesses in Rhode Island and throughout the country. Those attending will have the opportunity for a question and answer section with the guest speaker.

Prior to the breakfast refreshments will be served and those attending will have the chance to network with their peers from the surrounding area, such as Pawtucket. Arranging for business card printing before attending is a must. It is often suggested that you bring at least 75 business cards to any networking meeting. You never know when you will meet someone who can help your business.

Small businesses are very susceptible to changes in the tax laws and other government programs and services, the Eggs & Issues Breakfast and the resulting discussion will either go a long way in setting minds at ease or will raise panic and concern amongst those in attendance. Whichever, Chamber members will have the opportunity to bring up their concerns with the Congressman on a one-on-one basis.
