The Artists’ Ball is taking place next month, raising funds for the Newport Art Museum.

This is a black-tie event and everyone is expected to wear a carnival mask during the evening. The gala will start off with a cocktail reception where guests will have the opportunity to network with their neighbors and local business leaders while enjoying drinks and appetizers. It will be followed by a sit-down dinner.

During the evening, authors Dodie Kazanjian and Calvin Tomkins will be honored. Entertainment will be provided by Alex Donner and his Orchestra and the Metropolitan Opera Singers. Guests will also have the opportunity to visit the new exhibit by George Condo, while Tony Oursler will be showcasing his multi-media installation ‘For Tad and Dodie’. Guests can also bid on a silent auction.

Table sponsorships are available from $5,000 up to $30,000.

There are various levels of tickets available: $350 for friends, $500 for contributors, $1,000 for supporters, or $250 for junior committee members. Tickets are also available for $150 for drinks and dancing only.

The ball helps to raise money for the various exhibits and educational outreach of the Newport Art Museum.

Printed invitations to events like this are often provided by local print companies and sent to people from all over the area, including Middletown.

The Artists’ Ball will be held at Newport Museum on July 1, beginning at 6:00 PM. Call 401-848-8200 to learn more.
