The week of April 5 to 12 is national Money Smart Week, and the city of Middletown is participating by holding two free seminars for the public.

The first seminar will be ‘Extreme Couponing’. It is set to teach people how they can get the most out of free manufacturers’ coupons and save hundreds of dollars on food and other products.

The next one will bec alled ‘Plan and pay for your child’s education without going crazy or bankrupt’, presented by Bill Geasy. The title tells all that will be covered during the evening.

National Money Smart Week was created to raise public awareness about financial literacy and teach people how to handle their finances intelligently. Several other communities in Rhode Island and elsewhere in the United States are participating in this annual event by holding free public events.

It is likely that both of these seminars will include the handing out of printed information. Middletown print companies are often asked to provide materials such as brochures and flyers by organizers of these types of events.

Both seminars will take place at the Middletown Public Library. The former will take place on April 5 from 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm, while the latter will be held on April 8 from 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm. For more information about either event, call 401-846-1573.
