Chance to celebrate the fall at the Harvest Fair

September 11, 2017 by

The 43rd annual Harvest Fair is taking place at the Norman Bird Sanctuary in Middletown at the end of this month.

The fair will have activities for people of all ages and interests. There will be midway games (tickets can be purchased separately), a children’s craft tent hosted by the Newport Art Museum, a mud pit, the monkey bridge, and rides on the ‘Mable Express’ barrel train.

For sustenance, there will be food trucks, food concessions, and the Newport Storm Beer Garden. There will also be musical entertainment from local groups and artists.

In addition, over 70 arts and crafts vendors will be selling their handmade items such as jewelry, paintings, pottery, and ceramics. A variety of nonprofit organizations will also be providing information about their programs and services.

One popular part of the fair is the Home and Garden Competition that is open to people of all ages. It has three categories: food, produce, and flowers. There is also a scarecrow contest.

It is likely that a Middletown poster printing firm will be asked to provide advertising materials to spread the word about this event.

The Harvest Fair will be held at the Norman Bird Sanctuary from September 30 to October 1 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day. Admission is $6 for adults and $3 for children between the ages of 3 and 12. Call 401-846-2577 to learn more.
