The seminar ‘How to create a successful internship program’ will be taking place this February in Smithfield, hosted by the North Central Chamber of Commerce, the Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce and Bryant University.

In the seminar, presented by Bridge.jobs, business owners and managers will learn how creating an intern program can help their company to become more successful. Attendees will lean how to write a job description to attract the right people, how to supervise interns to get more out of them and how to make an internship a meaningful learning experience for all involved.

Several speakers will be participating in the seminar. The topics under discussion are expected to include ‘Why host an intern? The benefits of hosting an intern’, ‘Creating a quality learning experience’ and ‘The benefits of working with adult interns’. There are also set to be roundtable question-and-answer sessions.

Guests will also enjoy free refreshments and the chance to network with their business peers. Chamber members and non-members from all over the area, including nearby Johnston, will likely wish to attend this event. Before attending, a few people will no doubt have to place a new business card printing order, and will want to make sure that they have enough cards to exchange with those they meet.

‘How to create a successful internship program’ will be held at Bryant University on February 13 from 8:00 am – 10:00 am. For more information, call Kelly Patz at 401-349-4674.
