Arts festival has plenty to offer in Bucks County

The 64th annual Tinicum Arts Festival is taking place in Erwinna over two days this July. The event is a fundraiser for the Tinicum Civic Association.

Over 300 artists will either be selling or exhibiting their works at the festival in the Art Barn or the marketplace, providing an opportunity for those artists to begin to make a name for themselves in the community, and for those in the community to discover a new, favorite artist.

A ‘White Elephant’ tent will offer gently-used items for sale, and these will include silver plates, hand tools, and toys. The Book Wagon will have a variety of used books for purchase after members of the community donated them in June. Live entertainment will be provided by artists such as Jay Smar and the Red Hill Band.

The Discovery Tent will provide a variety of demonstrations and entertainment opportunities, such as magic acts and storytelling. An authors’ tent will offer readings and signings from writers like Debbie Dadey, Lee Harper, and Alison Formento. Topping things off, there will also be a silent auction.

Organizers are currently looking for volunteers to help distribute posters. These items were probably provided by local printing companies specializing in poster printing to help market the event. The volunteers will likely come from all over Bucks County, including Warminster.

The Tinicum Arts Festival will take place at Tinitum Park from over the weekend of July 13-14. Admission is free. For more information, or to volunteer for the festival, call 610-294-9420.
