Diverse county fair now only a month away

Pennsylvania is no exception to the rule of the increased number of county fairs taking place all over the country once spring and Summer arrive. One such event is the Grange County Fair, presented by Keystone Grange No. 2, which will take place over two days this June in Trappe.

The fair will feature a concert by singer-songwriter Billy Patrick, antique cars displays, tractors, historical re-enactors, mud wrestling, live performances, sheep shearing demonstrations, hayrides, cute pet contests, food concessions, and quilting demonstrations. Activities to amuse the kids include a dunk tank and a petting zoo. With the Grange Fair Queen pageant also to be held, it seems there will be something to hold everybody’s interest.

Local business vendors, farmers, and crafters will also be selling their products during the fair. Area community organizations, including several animal rescue groups, will also be providing information to the public about their programs and services.

Vendors and organizations will likely come from all over the area, including nearby Royersford. Many of them are probably working closely with local printing companies to get themselves ready, whether for sign or banner printing services or for designing and printing informative brochures.

The Grange County Fair will take place at Waterworks Park from June 21 – 22 until dusk each day. Admission is free. Tickets for the Billy Patrick concert, which will take place at 6:00 pm on June 21 are $10 in advance, and the ticket price includes a barbecue. For more information visit the event’s website.
