Spring event offers advice on gardening

The 15th annual Glade Run Spring Symposium will be taking place this March in Pittsburgh. It is a fundraising event for the Glade Run Adventures program.

The price of admission to the symposium will include breakfast and lunch. Guests will be able to enjoy various seminars, take part in Q & A sessions, bid on a silent auction, watch the Celebrity Waiter competition, and purchase items in a plant sale.

Various vendors will also be on hand with their gardening-related items and accessories, with garden tools, clothing items like gloves and hats, and instruction books likely to be among the offering. Topics of the seminars include ‘Seed saving’, ‘Gardening for life’ and ‘More than just honey’.

Proceeds from the symposium go to Glade Run Adventures, which provides programs for children and adults suffering from disabilities and emotional disorders.

This show will no doubt be widely advertised in the Pittsburgh area. This may involve hanging posters around the city, looking into flyer printing services or distributing booklets throughout the community.

The event will be held at Glade Run’s Zelienople Campus on March 15 from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm. Those planning to attend must register in advance. To find out more about the event, such as the price of tickets and how to register, contact Cheryl Martin at 724-452-4453 x1277.
