The 144th Memorial Parade will take place in Malvern on June 3rd beginning at 1:30 PM. The parade will begin on King St at the Malvern Firehouse and will finish at the Paoli Memorial Grounds Park.

World War I veterans will be the grand marshals of the parade which will feature seven bands including the Ferko String Band, the Brian Boru Bagpipe Band and the Great Valley High School and Middle School bands. It will also feature military vehicles, antique cars, the Shriners Motor Corps, police and fire companies, a decorated bicycle procession, Boy and Girl Scouts, Miss Pennsylvania and Junior Miss Pennsylvania. After the parade there will be a memorial service for service men and women who have died since last year. There will also be a Revolutionary War encampment, a community cake walk and military demonstrations.

In addition to the parade, a family fun day will start at 9:15 AM and run to 5 PM. Events taking place will be a 5K run, rock concerts, face painting, farmer’s markets, field games such as a three legged race and food concessions. Several organizations will have booths set up to solicit charitable donations such as the Lions Club and the MOMS Club of Malvern.

Local printing companies will most likely be helping the organizers of the parade and the family fun day to get ready for this annual event by providing poster printing, banner printing and flyer printing services. It should be a fun day for everyone in the community. After all everyone loves a parade.
