Halloween-related First Friday to raise shivers in Lansdale

September 28, 2012 by

The next First Friday Lansdale will take place in Downtown Lansdale a week today. This is a free event, although donations will be gratefully accepted. October’s First Friday is presented by MOMS Club of Lansdale, a non-profit organization that raises funds to provide support and services for stay-at-home moms and dads. More information about this cause can be found by calling 215-853-0333.

First Friday will feature musical entertainment, a family corner, food concessions, and commercial vendors. The 3rd annual Chili Cookoff, sponsored by the Landsdale Business Association, will allow the public to taste and to vote on their favorite chili. The 2nd annual Scarecrow Contest will also be taking place during October’s First Friday. There are three categories of scarecrows allowed in the contest – contemporary scarecrows, Halloween scarecrows, and ‘mascot’ scarecrows (scarecrows dressed to look like a person or thing).

No doubt the organizers of the various events will be working with Lansdale printing companies to prepare. Banner printing and poster printing services will help draw attention to the various areas and help advertise the upcoming event. Vendors will also probably be working with printing companies to ensure that their booth will get the attention that it deserves.

First Friday October is a good way to welcome the fall season and to get the family in the mood for Halloween and the other upcoming holidays. There should be something to appeal to every member of the family in Downtown Lansdale on October 5, from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
