Two popular festivals to return to Mercer County next month

The Grove City Strawberry festival is returning to Mercer County for the 22nd year for three days this June. It features entertainment, plenty of food, arts and craft vendors, a talent show, and the Strawberry Short Cake patch for children.

The 49th annual Mercer County Grange Fair will also be coming back to the area for a week at the end of the month. The theme of this year’s fair is ‘Harvesting your dreams’.

The latter annual fair will feature such activities as a horse show, agricultural exhibits, musical performances, a demolition derby, carnival amusement rides, pony pulls, bingo games, a parade, baking competitions, and truck and tractor pulls. There will also be plenty of home cooked food available for purchase for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Both events attract visitors from all over Mercer County, including such areas as nearby Hermitage. It is therefore very likely that the organizers might work with local printing companies to help spread the word about the fair. This might include purchasing poster or flyer printing services.

The Grove City Strawberry Festival will take place at Grove City Memorial Park from June 7 – 9, and is free to attend. Visit the event’s website for more information.

The Mercer County Grange Fair, meanwhile, will take place at the Mercer County Grange Fairgrounds from June 23 – 29, and is also free, although tickets for the tractor and truck pulls are $5 and $10 each respectively. For more information, contact Jim Richardson at 724-748-3858.
