Art festival returns to Hermitage this July

June 13, 2013 by

The Hermitage Arts Festival will take place over two days next month, featuring children’s activities, vendors, music, food, local artisans and artists’ demonstrations. There will also be a walk to raise funds for the festival.

Artists who wish to sell their works during the festival can rent a 10×10 foot space for $50, although electricity costs extra. All types of work are likely to be offered for sale including jewelry, home decoration accessories, clothing, pottery, and ceramics.

The 5K/2 Mile Walk will take place on the second day of the festival, and all registrants will get a T-shirt featuring a design chosen through a contest for local high school students.

Vendors and artists will very likely be investing in services from Hermitage printing companies. This might include flyers for marketing, banners for display, and a postcard printing order to advertise their business.

The event hopes to be a great way to celebrate the variety of artistic talent available in Hermitage and to allow everyone in the family, regardless of age, to find something enjoyable in which to take part.

The Hermitage Arts Festival will take place at Rodney White Olympic Park on July 13 from 11:00 am – 8:00 pm and July 14 from 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Admission is free. Registration fees for the 5K/2 Mile walk are $15 in advance and $20 on the day of the event. The walk begins at 9:30 am on July 14. For more information, contact Mary Ellen McKendry at 724-981-0800.
