Bethlehem Musikfest tickets to go on sale

December 2, 2013 by

Although summer might seem a long way away now, music fans in Bethlehem and beyond can start looking forward to 2014’s Musikfest this week.

Tickets to concerts at the yearly festival go on sale to the general public on December 6, at 10:00 am, and members of ArtsQuest can start buying tickets tomorrow, December 3. Ticket prices vary based on the performer and concert. The organizers of the music festival could use brochure printers to promote the performers appearing during the festival.

ArtsQuest, the organization that sponsors Musikfest, has announced that country music performer Alan Jackson will be performing on August 8, at the Sands Steel Stage. Jackson has won two Grammy awards, had 35 number 1 singles on the Billboard charts, and sold 60 million albums around the world. He recently released ‘The Bluegrass Album’, which topped the Billboard Bluegrass Albums chart. Tickets to his concert are $49 to $59.

The organization also recently confirmed that the Avett Brothers will be headlining the festival, playing a set on August 7, on the main stage. An Americana and folk band, the Brothers were been named an ‘Artist to Watch’ by Rolling Stone magazine in 2009. The band released its first album in 2002 and a follow-up record in 2009. Tickets to the Avett Brothers concert are $40 and $50.

ArtsQuest had originally announced that Hunter Hayes, a newcomer on the country music scene, would be headlining the festival, performing on August 2. The performer had to cancel his concert due to scheduling conflicts, however.
