Think Loud to bring new music venue to Allentown

Think Loud Development and GSE Realty petitioned and were granted approval to buy land for a new music venue and office complex to be built in downtown Allentown late last month.

A vote was taken on March 26 by The Allentown Parking Authority to allow the $1.4m sale to go forward.

The project is expected to cost $42m, be six-stories high, and include a multi-level club, a private VIP lounge, and a 6,200 square-foot restaurant. Additionally, the top two floors will be reserved for office space. Think Loud Development is owned by three of the four founding members of the rock band, Live. The company is based out of York, Pennsylvania. It is anticipated that construction may start in early 2015.

Live is a multi-platinum band that became known worldwide in 1994 with the album ‘Throwing Copper’. The band has appeared on the cover of Rolling Stones Magazine, on Saturday Night Live, Ellen, Letterman and The Tonight Show.

After breaking up in 2009 over a legal disagreement, three former band members reformed the group. Those members, Chad Taylor, Chad Gracey, and Patrick Dahlheimer, now own a family of multi-national companies of which Think Loud Holdings is one.

New office buildings mean ample opportunities for stationery printers to supply letterheads and brochures for businesses, and also to provide business card printing for individuals working there.
