Networking an option for professionals this August

Business professionals with an eye towards networking while also doing good work within the community have at least a couple of options at their disposal in the coming weeks with both the Kiwanis Club of County Seat Mineola and TEAMmates hosting meet-ups.

In keeping with the theme of supporting worthy causes in Williston Park and the surrounding area, residents will also get a chance to shop while putting money towards the Women’s Fund of Long Island later on.

In the case of the Kiwanis Club, members meet right here in Williston Park on Mondays at the Ihop Restaurant on Hillside Avenue. With the first event of the month being held on August 6 and continuing every week from there, members of the business community can connect with one another while working on various projects.

Along the same lines, TEAMmates will be meeting on Thursdays. Whether a local business owner is looking for professional contacts or is simply seeing what referral marketing is all about, these are two supportive groups that should be fantastic for networking purposes.

Of course, brochure printers are sure to be booked in advance with a Charitable Shopping Event coming up August 11 and 12. In recognition of the Container Store’s Grand Opening, management has chosen to give back to the community by donating a percentage of weekend sales to the Women’s Fund of Long Island. Going from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, this is a win-win proposition for everyone involved.
