Upcoming event will showcase local wineries

The Taste of Flight Wine Expo is taking place next month.

The expo is a showcase for local wineries, cideries, and distilleries. Guests will have the opportunity to taste over 100 different products, and will also enjoy fine food samples. Entertainment will be provided during the evening by a DJ and there is room for dancing. Guests can also use the free photo booth.

In addition to the providers of drinks, there will be vendors selling arts and crafts and general merchandise. Organizers are still accepting applications for vendors. A 10 x 10-foot space costs $195; wineries, cideries, and distilleries are free but must provide samples.

For people who are coming from other areas to attend this event, a special rate is available at the Marriott Long Island in Garden City.

It is likely that people who enjoy wine will be happy to make the short trip to attend this event, including many from nearby Valley Stream. To advertise in the area, organizers may invest in flyers.

The Taste of Flight Wine Expo will be held at the Cradle of Aviation Museum in Garden City on April 8 from 6:00 to 10:00 PM. Tickets are $40 in advance or $50 at the door, although designated drivers pay only $20. All attendees will receive a souvenir wine glass.
