Syosset businesspeople have chances to up their game

The Syosset Chamber of Commerce has pulled out all the stops in making sure that its members are getting every chance to learn more about how to lift their businesses up a level or two, with two meetings taking place in September.

Members of the business community will be able to start things off quickly enough, with the Syosset Chamber hosting a General Meeting on September 20. Beginning fairly early at 8:30 am and wrapping up at 10:00 am, those who are at 516 Americana Kitchen on time are definitely in luck with networking, a great meal, and an excellent presentation to consider, as Marilyn Urso goes into the second half of ‘Social Media & Your Business’. For professionals who have wondered how blogs, websites, digital business cards, and sites like Twitter or Facebook are supposed to come together, this is a great chance to hear all about how Internet marketing is done.

Set at a price of $10 per person, there is definitely something to be said for putting in an appearance here.

Roughly a week later, on September 27, the next segment of the chamber’s Small Business Seminars Series is taking place. Being held at the Syosset Public Library from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, this info session will feature two quality guest speakers in Barbara Whiting of the United States Small Business Administration and Mike Ogus of the Community National Bank.

Between the seminar and the workshop, there is plenty of information Syosset professionals can glean from attending these two events.
