Summer is the time for Grease in Smithtown

Sure to offer some lively dance numbers and songs that reflect early rockers, ‘Grease, the Musical’ is on its way to Smithtown this weekend.

With ticket specials available for those who subscribe to the theater newsletter, it is likely that brochure printing, poster printing, and other printing services may have been used to spread the word to people in this area about this event.

Set back in the time of duck-tails and hot rods, Rydell High School is where this well-known and long-standing tale takes places. It is a glimpse into 1959 with the schools senior class and features plenty of gum-snapping, pink ladies, and hip-shaking gals and guys with pedal pushers and bobby socks.

In this story, Danny, one of the head greasers, meets the new girl in school, Sandy, and they enjoy the romance of the summer. The entire gang of hang-alongs sings and dances its way through a variety of songs, including ‘It’s Raining on Prom Night’, ‘Grease Lightnin’’, and other numbers from a soundtrack that became renowned for that generation. The audience will no doubt enjoy this lively musical and find it hard not to sing along.

Tickets for this event are $35 for adults and $20 for students. It will be performed on Sunday, July 28, at 2:00 pm at the Smithtown Theatre located at 2 East Main Street in Smithtown, New York.
