Smithtown LeTip holds Wednesday morning meetings

Companies that are interested in getting a bit of networking done may want to consider joining Smithtown’s LeTip referral group.

As most business owners are aware, lead generation is an important part of staying in profits. To that end, word of mouth recommendations can go a long way. LeTip operates by giving its members a chance to acquire more business through mutual referrals.

Meeting at Millennium Dinner on Main Street, members gather every Wednesday to network and present their businesses. Besides the opportunity to provide 30-second elevator in a friendly environment, this group is interesting in that presenters are supposed to explain in-depth how meeting attendees can send referrals. It saves time and it gives business owners a certain level of control.

With organizers telling first-time attendees to come with at least 100 business cards, prospective attendees can’t go wrong bringing a healthy supply of business card printing.

To avoid competition with the group, LeTip Smithtown operates on a single professional per category basis. Fortunately, the website clearly lists the categories that have been taken. According to the site, guests can make member applications after attending a first meeting but will have to show up at two more events to get consideration.

The breakfast is free for everyone with the exception of those who are either ineligible for membership or visiting from other LeTip chapters. The loyalty and close-knitted atmosphere will leave a lasting impression on anyone who plans to be at Millennium Dinner by 7:15 am. Ending at 8:15 am precisely, the times are convenient as well.
