International Economic Forecast and yearly Schenectady chamber meeting coming up

January 24, 2012 by

Although the month is almost over, Schenectady professionals have at least two chamber-sponsored events worth attending this January.

Beginning January 25th with the International Economic Forecast, business owners and other qualified individuals can go to the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber where they can listen to experts discuss a topic that matters to everyone; the state of the global economy and where business is headed as a result. This upcoming event is being advertised as follows:

“Please join Tech Valley Global Business Network for an international economic update and forecast on the various regions of the world (i.e. Canada, Mexico, the volatile Eurozone, China and more.) Hear from Brian Kim, FX Strategist with RBS Global Banking & Markets, who will provide insight to the global economies where Tech Valley based companies conduct business.

The discussion will include where the US dollar is heading; how it could impact your business; and strategies to stay competitive in 2012.” (sic.)

Following shortly on the heels of the International Economic Forecast is the Schenectady Chamber’s Annual Meeting & “Wrap” Party. Taking place in the evening from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, local professionals will be able to make plans for 2012 and perhaps exchange a bit of business card printing as well.

What stands out with this event is the spotlight that the corporate and hospitality sponsors have gotten. With their “digital business cards” on display here, many of these companies are already gaining exposure.

Since online registration is available for both events, local professionals can sign up at their own convenience.
