Food fans ready to be bowled over

This weekend, residents in and around Albany, New York will be able to try a huge variety of samples of the American favourite dish, Mac n’ Cheese.

Now in its fifth year, the Annual Mac n’ Cheese Bowl brings local restaurants together and lets each of them showcase their different take on the classic dish. There will be 30 different versions of Mac n’ Cheese for guests to try, and guests will also be able to vote on their favorite varieties.

Proceeds from this event go to benefit the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York. This organization was founded in 1982 and serves the hungry in 23 counties in Upstate New York. It is a nonprofit that accepts food donations and then distributes them to different agencies in its network that make sure the people in their districts receive them.

Organizers for the Mac n’ Cheese Bowl might use printing companies to create advertising materials that can be distributed in nearby towns like Schenectady. Flyers and posters are a cost-effective way to advertise and can draw in big crowds.

There are two tastings that will be held, the first at 11:00 am and the second at 12:30 pm this Saturday, February 15. There is a $20 admission fee for adults and a $5 admission fee for children between 5 and 12 years of age. The event will be held at the Albany Marriott.
