Storage group sets up RVC home

A self-storage firm has purchased a property in Rockville Centre, as it moves to develop its portfolio and expand.

It is the third such acquisition by Storage Post in the last three months, and is located on Maple Avenue, off North Long Island Beach Road. Taking up over 32,000 square feet, the building is a state-of-the-art affair.

Complete with motion sensor lighting and climate controlled areas, it is ideal for a customer storage facility. With each door individually alarmed and a complete raft of internal loading bays too, it appears the perfect facility.

Talking about the move, Dylan Delaune, chief investments officer for the firm, said:

“This was a superb transaction. The property is in a great neighborhood with attractive demographics, and we’re familiar with the owner, which made the entire process go smoothly.

“The asset’s high quality and good location will help develop our New York portfolio, and we are pleased to bring the property into our brand.”

It has not been confirmed exactly when the facility will come online, but there will no doubt be much poster and banner printing needed ahead of the launch.

It is nothing new for the company though, which has seen close to 20 similar acquisitions in just the past year. With a total of 22 locations throughout the country, the firm also intends to continue buying up suitable properties over the next 12 months.

Storage Post also has plans to completely renovate its facilities in New York and New Jersey.
