Riverhead residents have choice of entertaining events

Now that New Energy Long Island Networking and the Specialty Food Business Workshop have passed with such success, local professionals will finally have time to stock up on their business card printing.

If the calendar is anything to go by, however, the Riverhead Chamber of Commerce has listed some entertaining events that people in Riverhead will enjoy going to.

Things start off with the Suffolk Community College hosting the next installments of its “Chef Demonstration Showcase” series as well as its “Spring 2012 Lunch and Dinner” series. Taking place on March 27th and 28th, respectively, residents will be able to stop by and enjoy a fantastic meal and, in some cases, see exactly how the pros make specific dishes. Priced at a starting point of $5 for the Chef Demonstration and $17 for lunch, or $22 for dinner, this is a great opportunity to get out and about.

The action continues on the 30th with a Trevor Davison 10 Piece Swing Band concert. Featuring a full buffet, a bar, and a bit of dancing, this is going to be an evening filled with music and all sorts of fun activities. Immediately following the concert on March 31st is the Candlelight Ball. With the proceeds going towards the Peconic Bay Medical Center, it’s an excellent opportunity to support a good cause.

With most of the workshops and networking meetings out of the way, local professionals can unwind by attending some of these events as the month of March comes to an end.
