Walk for dogs on June 10

May 31, 2012 by

On Sunday, June 10, the 13th year Hounds on the Sound 3k Dog Walk and Adoption fundraiser will take place, starting at Memorial Park in Port Jefferson Station, New York. This event will run from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Throughout this day, dogs and their owners will enjoy a day jam-packed with live musical entertainment, plenty of food, vendors, raffles, contests, and prizes. Participants and guests are invited to come and say hello to the animals which are currently up for adoption and need a good home. These animals are adopted through Save-A-Pet and the live entertainment is being provided courtesy of Act1Entertainment.

During the proceedings, participants will be able to create an animal profile of their pets which includes a photo and brief bio, providing the participant with the opportunity to raise pledges using the internet. Those who earn more than $200 in donations will receive a free coffee mug featuring a picture of themselves and their pet printed on it, perhaps produced by a Port Jefferson Station print company. The participant that raises more pledges than anybody else during this fundraising event will win a free overnight vacation at the Danford’s Inn. This is a rain or shine event, so please dress accordingly. With registration, each participant will receive a free T-shirt and gift bag.

Registration for this event is $30 per person and can be paid by check or Paypal. For further info, or to register, visit Save-A-Pet’s website or call Save a Pet Animal Rescue at 631-473-6333.
