New project arises in downtown New Rochelle

August 16, 2017 by

RXR Reality and the city of New Rochelle recently announced another major project in the downtown area. It will have two buildings, 28 stories in height, and with retail establishments on the first floor.

The retail space will take up between 35,000 and 40,000 square feet, and above it will be 650 to 700 residential units. It is expected that more than $4m will be invested in the development once it is completed.

Site plan approval for the project is expected by the end of the year, and once that has been granted, ground will be broken on the first building in the second half of 2018. RXR Reality has another project in downtown New Rochelle, which contains retail and cultural space and 280 residential rental units. Leasing on this will begin late in 2018.

The announcement of this project will be a jump start to the revitalization efforts in the city, says Mayor Noam Bramson. He added that the new project is a big step in developing a diverse and thriving city center, and serves as the foundation for continued investment, which will help the local economy.

City and business partnerships often benefit from the use of marketing services to inform residents of new projects and the benefits they may be able to bring to both parties.
