Super Bowl Pre-Party…with Theater!

February 1, 2014 by

Tomorrow is the national holiday known as Super Bowl Sunday. While many people might be getting their house parties ready, those who don’t like football, or who want to balance the evening viewing of sports something more artistic, might want to go to the benefit concert being held by The Truth in Elmont, New York.

The Truth is a theater group that presents works of poetry, music, and drama. Their pieces are meant to inspire audiences to think about alternatives to some of the negative aspects of our lives and society. Performing with The Truth will be The City South Steel Orchestra. The group was formed in The Bronx, New York by a group of friends and family members. It consists of multiple singers, as well as a cellist, bassist, and drummer.

Promoters for this event might turn to printing companies for advertising materials like flyers to hand out in towns like Lynbrook or Hempstead, which are near Elmont. They might also look to print companies to create programs for the show so that audiences can read about the performers.

The show is on February 2nd from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm in the afternoon. It is at the Elmont Memorial High School, and there is a $15 fee for general admission and a $20 fee for preferred seating.
