Popular Long Island band to give free concert in Lynbrook

Lynbrook is set to get down to some of the 1970s’ catchiest tunes, as popular Long Island band 45RPM comes to the village.

The show, which takes place at Greis Park in a few days, is completely free to attend. A large advertising campaign is likely in full swing; just as many of the audience and band will be in a week’s time.

With poster printing likely to attract a large crowd for the event, the highly-skilled musical six-piece will be looking forward to putting on another excellent show.

There are many fans of the band in Lynbrook and further afield. This is highlighted by them recently being voted the best cover band in Long Island. That title came from the Long Island Press.

They beat of stiff competition from the likes of Big Shot and That 70’s Band; both of whom are incredibly popular across L.I.

As well as bringing back the hit sounds of the 70s, along with popular favorites such as ‘Baby Come Back’ and ‘Mama Told Me (Not to Come)’, band members Michael, Danny, Mike, Linda, Bobby, are Simon are described on their Facebook page as being ‘slightly deranged’ and the ‘flashback you were afraid of’. Most of all, the band is simply about having fun in a party atmosphere.

Being a free gig, anyone looking forward to getting their groove on needs to get down to Greis Park for around 7.30 pm this Friday, August 16.
