Fundraiser swings by to aid animal adoption

This weekend, Tavi and Friends will be holding a spring adoption fundraiser in the parking lot outside the Petco in Massapequa, New York.

Guests will be able to partake in such activities as wine and food tastings, bake sale goods, arts and crafts vendors, and face painting. There will also be a 50/50 raffle that gives away goods donated by stores in the shopping center. Of course, there will also be plenty of animals from Tavi and Friends and the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter available for adoption.

Tavi and Friends is a non-profit organization that cares for homeless companion animals and tries to place them in good homes through adoption. The company also shelters certain special needs animals, but it does not have its own shelter space, instead relying on the relationships it has cultivated with animal shelters in the area. The company is named after the owner’s cat Tavi, who helped to socialize strays and runaways before she passed.

Organizers for this event will want to make sure that there is advertising for it. Flyers and promotional posters distributed in nearby towns like Amityville, Wantagh, and Lindenhurst could do a lot to draw in more donors. Printing companies would create those sort of promotional materials and could help with others. Vendors at the event might also make use of printing companies for various needs, such as business cards, banners, or catalogs for their goods.

The fundraiser will be held this Saturday, May 18.
