Huntington Chamber holding special events this January

Judging from the event calendar, it looks like Huntington Chamber Members will have options this month.

Although local members of Huntington’s business community will have plenty of chances to be involved with the chamber in January, there are at least a couple of events that can be seen on the homepage. On the 19th, Business After Hours will be holding a networking event from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at East Northport’s The Bristal. As the advertisements state:

“Take a tour of our brand new community and enjoy a taste of our gourmet dining prepared specially for the Chamber Business After Hours networking event. We are located just across from Trader Joe’s shopping center.” (sic.)

Those who are members of the Huntington Chamber of Commerce are allowed to come in for free while non-members will be charged a very reasonable $20.00. With people being encouraged to bring business card printing to this one, it’s a networking opportunity that’s well worth attending.

Following the Business After Hours event, there will be a “Meet the Media” Networking on the 25th. If the flyer printing is anything to go by, this breakfast is being promoted with the tagline “Meet Long Island’s Most Influential Media”.

Taking place in Melville, various media personalities will give tips on social media, handling interviews, and the impact of reporting on business. Backed by names like Adelphi University and the Community National Bank among others, this is going to be an information-packed event.
