Hicksville chamber meeting to center on LinkedIn

March 19, 2012 by

With March quickly coming to a close, it’s almost time for the Hicksville Chamber of Commerce’s monthly general meeting. That being said, the Long Island Business Owners Workshop is another event for Hicksville professionals to watch for.

Being held once again at Peppercorns Restaurant, the topic of the chamber’s meeting is going to be LinkedIn. Presented by the properly qualified Alison Mann, attendees will be guided through the basics of turning this extensive networking site for professionals into a powerful tool for finding clients, recruiting talent, and increasing name recognition.

When these methods are used along with another useful resource in digital business cards, the sky is the limit for what a company can accomplish through Linked In. Taking place March 20th and going from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm, this is sure to be an information-packed event.

Speaking of information-filled seminars, there’s going to be a Long Island Business Owners Workshop in Melville on both the 21st and the 28th.

Tailored primarily towards already somewhat successful entrepreneurs who are looking to take their companies to the next level, this workshop will be covering such topics as: the formation of a proper growth strategy, marketing on a larger stage, getting more out of current sources of income, and being prepared for the unthinkable. With this workshop being free to attend and coming with a free lunch on the 28th, entrepreneurs have nothing to lose by putting in an appearance.

Seats are limited, however, so business owners will want to register quickly.
