Technology Oriented Forum Hosting a Workshop

December 14, 2011 by

Members of the business community are invited to visit JujoMukti Tea Lounge later today. Sponsored by members of the New York City IT & Finance Forum, this is sure to be a time of constructive discussion and networking.

Starting at 6:00 p.m., the Tea Lounge is going to be hosting the first part of what’s being called a Financial Modeling Workshop. According to organizers, the talk will have enough information in it that professionals from all walks of life will be able to take something away from it.

The promotions open as follows:

“How long will you “run away” from the nuts and bolts of high-power finance? Fill the gap today! Whether you are a finance professional, career-changer, or entrepreneur, this is a Unique Opportunity to Become a Finance-Savvy Business Professional.”

Being advertised as part of a larger series, this Financial Modeling workshop is just the tip of the iceberg.

Also taken from the page, the rest of the workshops involve:

“1. Accounting 101

2. MS Excel 101

3. Building P&L Statement

4. Product & Service Pricing

5. Sensitivity Analysis/Risk Management

6. Integrated Financial Modeling

7. Project Finance”

Originally, the New York City IT & Finance Forum was formed as a way of helping local professionals enhance their skills and gain the kind of “hands-on” knowledge that’s needed to be successful these days.

With New York City situated less than half an hour away from Forest Hills, this event is one to consider. Be sure to bring the $49 fee and an adequate supply of business card printing.
