Sponsors and participants wanted for annual Farmingdale St. Patrick’s Day Parade

February 8, 2018 by

The schedule has been released by the planning committee for the 6th annual holiday parade, but there is still time for individuals and organizations to get involved and join the fun.

The popular community parade is organized by the Farmingdale Village Merchant Association in conjunction with many other local organizations and volunteers. It is an opportunity for all Farmingdale residents to spend a day downtown and help to support local businesses while having a fun family day.

The parade starts at 1:00 pm on March 11 at the Northside school. The route will take the marchers down Main Street and end at the Village Green at approximately 2:00 pm.

Local organizations and businesses can join in on the festivities and share relevant promotional products or other gifts with the crowd. Many local merchants and restaurants have special deals and promos planned to coincide with the parade. There will also be themed photo opportunities and family events taking place on the Village Green.

A Grand Marshall will be announced prior to the day of the event. There is no rain date set for the parade because it is planned to take place regardless of the weather.

Send an email to Joef@thenuttyirishman.com for information about becoming a parade sponsor, or to sign up an organization to march in the parade.
