Working in partnership with the Hicksville, Syosset, and Plainview-Old Bethpage Chambers of Commerce, the Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce is going to be taking part in a “Multi-Chamber Networking Extravaganza” on January 26th.

Scheduled to take place from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, there will be plenty of time for those present at this event to interact with one another and begin building relationships that way. That being said, there’s more to this “Networking Extravaganza” than first meets the eye.

Case in point, the keynote speaker at this event will be a covering a topic that’s important to the majority of business owners today: social media. Digital business cards are fantastic when it comes to online interaction, but social media is a marketing and networking tool that’s changing the way people do business on the Internet.

Presentations aside, there is also a portion of the evening being set aside for networking purposes. The Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce website describes it as a “structured/facilitated networking format to showcase your business directly to up to 79 other businesses”. Numbers like that further demonstrate the value of coming with a good amount of business card printing.

Plainview’s La Famiglia Family Style Restaurant is the chosen venue for this evening so Farmingdale professionals know that the extravaganza’s location won’t take away from the overall experience. Between the raffles and the low $25 cost, this is definitely an event worth attending. Since the offer is only open to 20 Farmingdale chamber members, however, local entrepreneurs will have to register soon to get a spot.
