North Face store opening near Fairport

November 4, 2012 by

Residents in Fairport and throughout the greater Rochester region, know that icy temperatures and snowy ground will soon arrive in the area and hats, jackets, gloves, scarves, and coats become a requirement when venturing outside. It is not surprising, then, that a new store opening is part of the latest shoppers’ buzz.

North Face, an outdoor apparel store located in Victor at Route 96 and High Street, will have a ribbon cutting ceremony for their new facility at 8:30 am on November 9, according to Fred Rainaldi, Jr., a managier of the project’s developer, Whitney Baird Associates.

This latest addition to the clothing store options in the region will be an 8,000 square foot ‘super store’ for the well-known label. Although the North Face brand has been sold in other stores across the region, notably Dick’s Sporting Goods, this Victor location will be the first North Face endeavor in the Rochester area market. To drive that point home, the Grand Opening will span a three-day period, from November 9 – 11.

Not unlike shoppers, area businesses that support retail events, such as firms offering flyer printing used to advertise special sales, or banner printing needed for the opening celebrations, also appreciate the arrival of a new store.

North Face carries a Denali-style jacket that many will regard as a wardrobe ‘must’. It is a good bet this new store will be a necessary stop on the holiday shopping itinerary for teens and young adults.
