‘Alice in Wonderland’ dances into Ronkonkoma

Residents in Ronkonkoma, including those in nearby Central Islip, have an opportunity to see a production of ‘Alice in Wonderland’ later this week.

The classic story, adapted from Lewis Carroll’s ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland’, has been developed into a choreographed ballet. Ballet Long Island aims to bring the fantasy tale to life with attention-grabbing costumes and dancing. Guests can watch Alice interact with animals and other quirky characters.

Ballet Long Island is a performance-centered and ‘competition free’ studio. The classes are designed to help enhance students’ social and dance skills. Along with ballet, the center offers musical-acting, hip hop, Irish step, and dance classes. There are summer classes and various camps throughout the year.

This is an opportunity for The Ballet Center to attract business and, by using local flyer printing services, the business could create a colorful handout to give to prospective students. It could list various classes, activities, and future performances the company has to offer.

This Wednesday, April 9, there will performances at 11:00 am and 12:15 pm. This Saturday, there will be one show at 1:00 pm. Tickets cost $16 for adults and $8 for both children and senior citizens. Group rate admission is $6 per person. Tickets can be purchased on the ballet studio’s website or by calling (631) 737-1964.

The Ballet Center is located at 1863 Pond Road in Ronkonkoma.
