Queens Chamber to hold workshop and reception

The Queens Chamber of Commerce is going above and beyond for members with the upcoming “ABC’s of Networking” workshop, and also by giving companies a chance to make more of a name for themselves by offering sponsorship opportunities for the 2012 Installation Reception.

For the next installment of the chamber’s “Breakfast Before Business” series, business professionals are being invited to attend what’s being called “The ABC’s of Networking Workshop” on April 20th. Although most entrepreneurial types are aware of the difference that connecting with other professionals can make, there’s more to effective networking than simply showing up to meetings with business card printing.

During the seminar, Eddie Adelman of PODS Enterprises, Inc. is going to be addressing issues like the selection of networking groups, deciding whether or not to join a free group, making pitches, dressing appropriately, following up, and even the use of social media. With the help of some quality business card printing, as well as that of digital business cards, attendees will be able to put the concepts learned from this free event to use.

Following this event, on the 24th, is the 2012 Installation Reception. At its core, this is an opportunity for the chamber to properly acknowledge this year’s officers. With sponsorships going for $1,000, companies from Bellerose and other nearby areas have the option of providing financial support and receiving some recognition in exchange.

In any case, business professionals and entrepreneurs have plenty of reasons to consider attending both this upcoming “Breakfast Before Business” as well as the Installation Reception.
