Wall Township dives into the weekend

The 18th Annual Wall High School Swim Team’s Ocean Mile Swim will challenge lifeguards with physical and mental endurance tests this weekend.

This annual event pits the top lifeguards in the area against each other and presents viewers with the chance to see them in action. Poster printing, banner printing, and flyer printing might have been chosen to promote this event to the area lifeguards, as well as the people in this community.

During this competition, lifeguards, the wall high school swim team members, and other swimmers of any age, will compete to be the winner of the one-mile swim that takes place in the ocean along Sea Girt Beach. There will be prizes awarded for the first female and male overall, as well as for the winning lifeguards and school members of each gender, and the top three female and male swimmers by age group will also be rewarded.

Swimmers competing in this competition may not wet suits if they wish to be eligible for the award categories. Registration for this event begins at 6:30 am and runs until 7:45am. At 10am, there will be a 50/50 draw.

There is no cost for viewers to come and enjoy the race, which takes place tomorrow, July 27, starting at 8:00 am at the Sea Girt Beach located at the corner of Ocean Avenue and Beacon Blvd. in Wall Township, New Jersey. To learn more about this event, or to register as a swimmer, visit its website.
