Brite Night of family frights coming up

October 15, 2013 by

Beginning this weekend, the ‘4th Annual Brite Nites Halloween Fest’ is presented by Wagner Farm Arboretum and takes place the last two weekends in October. With Halloween coming up fast, it would not be surprising if banner and flying printing had been used to spread the word about this spooky event to people in the community and other nearby areas.

This year, the children’s garden will present an unforgettable experience to celebrate Halloween and will feature more than 1,500 delicately carved, lit pumpkins along the garden’s pathways. There will be a ghoulish haunted house with many surprises and costumed characters, face painting for the children, and some spectacular sweet treats for everyone to enjoy.

Families can enjoy a dance presentation by the performers from the Take Flight Dance Center, who will be presenting a high-energy theme from the Rocky Horror Picture Show (G rated). There will be a scarecrow competition, prior to these weekends, with the scarecrows on display at this event. This is a fundraiser with proceeds to benefit the Butterfly Conservatory, the garden’s expansion, and educational programs.

The cost is $10 per adult and $7 for seniors and children, in advance. It will all be happening from Friday, October 18 to Sunday, October 26 at the Wagner Farm Arboretum located at 197 Mountain Avenue in Warren, New Jersey – only about 10 miles from Somerville. To find out more or to purchase advance tickets, please visit the Wagner Farm Arboretum website or call it office.
