Sweet times ahead in Secaucus

September 26, 2013 by

An event called ‘A Deliciously Healthy Dessert Making Contest’ will let people enter their sweet creations into the Secaucus’s Food Day celebration taking place in October. Printing services, ranging from flyer printing to postcard production, are often used to advertise contests like this to people in this community and the surrounding areas.

People who wish to enter their dessert dish into this food day celebration are asked to give one healthy and nutritious dessert dish to Buchmuller Park and to include the recipe used to create the dish on a typed index card. All entrants must include their name on the reverse side of the card.

Dishes permitted for entry include cakes, pies, granola bars, and other baked desserts, but all must be relatively nutritious and healthy. Entrants are asked not to use unnatural ingredients such as artificial sweeteners. Entrants must keep all dishes at the right temperature for judging, such as by storing them in a cooler. All entrants’ baked goods will be judged and prizes will be given for the top three baked dishes.

There is no cost to enter a dish or to attend this event. All entrants must deliver their baked dish on October 19 at 11:00 am to Buckmuller Park located at 1203 Paterson Plank Road in Secaucus, New Jersey to be part of the Secaucus Food Day celebration. For more information on this event or the rules, please visit the Secaucus Health Department website or call Christine Smith at 201-330-2031 during business hours.
