Manalapan folk invited to Alice’s Ball

January 4, 2014 by

Not quite as fast as falling down a rabbit hole but still a short trip, the 14-minute drive to Freehold can get Manalapan White Rabbits to Alice’s Wonderland for an evening of mad-as-a-hatter food, drinks, and dancing.

In just a few weeks, the Centra-State Healthcare Foundation will be presenting its 52nd Annual Celebration Ball. The event is titled ‘An Evening in Wonderland’.

Those looking for something different can get into the wabe (dance) with the tunes provided by the Time Machine Band, New Jersey’s own dance band that specializes in rock, Motown, swing, oldies, country, and current top 40 hits. A silent auction will also be in full swing, and a ‘Queen of the Ball’ contest will be held sometime during the evening. The candidates are young women from local colleges and high schools who have been instrumental in organizing fundraising and service projects that benefit local women. Proceeds go to the Star & Barry Tobias Women’s Health Center, a facility offering counseling services, education on health, and technical expertise for women in a private, comfortable environment.

Tickets, sponsorships, underwriting opportunities, advertising packages, and ad pages for theball are still available for couples, organizations, and businesses such as print companies or franchisees offering printing services. Information can be found on the Centra-State Healthcare Foundation’s website.

The festivities begin at 6:30 pm and will continue until 11:59 pm on Saturday, January 18, at the Encore Event Center, 110 Schanck Rd, Freehold, New Jersey. Online registration is advised.
