Library to go the extra yards

September 20, 2013 by

A community yard sale will be held by the Friends of Mount Laurel Library, based just outside of Hainesport, in the parking lot of the library in just over a week’s time. No doubt the Library has been using poster printing to let the community know about the event, and flyer printing with additional information and sign-up sheets for the yard sale may also have been integrated into its promotion.

Proceeds of the yard sale will benefit the Mount Laurel Library and will come from the purchase of display tables at the event. Regular spaces are $20 each and the prime spaces at the ends of the rows are $30. Each space is 9½ feet wide by 25 feet in length.

Parking will be made available across the street, at the Post Office, at the Municipal Building and at the Senior Center behind the Municipal Building. Participants in the yard sale will not be able to sell any food as there will be a food truck on the premises. Restrooms for both men and women will be made available inside the library. Those who are selling new merchandise need to show a proof of identification.

Participants in the yard sale will be able to set up their spaces an hour and a half before the yard sale begins. Those who registered for the event will be assigned their spaces as they arrive on a ‘first-come first-served’ basis. Those who signed up for double spaces or prime spaces will be notified of their assignments in advance. The yard sale will take place on Sunday, September 29.
