Comedians and blues on tap over the next three days

August 22, 2013 by

New Jersey comedy lovers can head to New Brunswick for two evenings of laughter at the Stress Factory Comedy Club, 90 Church Street, tonight and tomorrow, as well as a blues night on Saturday.

Comedian Mark Normand will perform at 7:30pm tonight. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Normand was exposed early on to the stranger sides of life. He spent much of his early life shooting short films and acting in plays.

It was after college that he discovered his love of comedy and soon moved to New York. He has appeared on the television show “Last Comic Standing”, and was a featured performer at the Montreal Comedy Festival.

For even more laughs and a feminine twist, tomorrow night comedy fans can catch the performance of comedian Amy Schumer at 7:30 pm.

Edgy comedian Schumer is the star, writer, and creator of her new show Inside Amy Schumer on Comedy Central. She can also be seen in the latest season of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

For more information on either show, call (732) 545-4242.

Blues fans will enjoy the Richard Ray Farrell Blues concert at 7:00pm on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Newtown Theatre, 120 North State Street, Newtown.

Ray has spent over 25 years performing blues music around the world. His performance here is a fundraiser for the nonprofit Pickering Manor, which is owned by Newtown’s Community Welfare Council.

Everything from scripts to sheet music can be duplicated with the help of a local printing company.
