East Hanover celebrates the holidays with horses

December 14, 2018 by

Approximately nine miles away from East Hanover, the Seaton Hackney Stables will be holding its 17th annual holiday party this winter, welcoming children and adults alike. There will be a variety of activities during the party.

Starting at 2:00 pm, there will be food and beverages available throughout the duration of the party. Socialization is also a key factor of this event. Some activities that guests can look forward to include stall decorating, ‘drunken’ tractor hay rides, and mini cart rides. There will be a 50/50 raffle, which gives 50% of the raffle money to the winner. The other 50% will be retained by the stables to benefit its Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) team.

There will be a table of gently used apparel and tack, available for trade or purchase. A gift exchange takes place too, separated into three categories: children 8 and under, ages 9 to 12, or ages 13 to adults. At 5:00 pm, Santa is set to arrive, along with gifts and candy for everyone. The winner of the 50/50 raffle will also be announced at this point. Hayrides, pony rides, and wagon rides will be available for the duration of the event.

Events like this often have business cards on hand to give out to new potential clients or even old clients, if there is updated contact information. This event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, December 16.
